A Girl Can Dream

A few days after I finished my post about my favorite vacation spots, I realized I left out all of the places I have on my Bucket List to visit. I would be remissed if I didn't include those places on my blog as well, so the list begins in no particular order.

1. I always say that until I visit every place on my list at least once, I don't have a desire to return. However, there is an exception -- Hawaii. I've only been to Hawaii once and that was to the island of Oahu, but on my second trip to Hawaii, I wish to visit Maui. Everyone that I know who has visited Maui has talked about the beauty of the island and I wish to have the same experience.

2. Greece -- This is my #1 place to visit and why wouldn't someone want to spend their vacation among the beauty and people of Greece! A co-worker and sorority sister spent her honeymoon in Greece and her photos are like postcards. My dream trip to Greece would be to spend a few days in Athens and then a week or so visiting the Greek Islands of Santorini, Mykonos and Rhodes.

3. I've been fortunate to travel to the land of my people, Italy, a few times but have never ventured to the heart of Tuscany. My ideal trip there would be to drink lots of wine and take cooking classes from a local for 4 or 5 days. I'm an avid cook but expanding your skills and knowledge this way, would be AMAZING!!!

4. Next on my European adventure would be to visit Amsterdamn (Hello Heineken) and Vienna. Everything I have seen or heard about these two places has been exciting plus, who wouldn't want to visit Vienna? It's the inspiration for The Sound of Music (and my blog) and it would be so very cool to visit the home of the VonTrapp Family!!! The family has turned the home into a B&B and you can even visit with family members during your stay. Just thinking of this trip, makes me want to start singing!

5. There are a few places in the good ol' USA that I want to visit -- San Diego for the weather and beaches, Napa for the wineries and the spas and Key West for the beach and warm weather, of course but also for all the fun friends of mine have said Key West is known for.
